The Town of Easton has been informed of incidents where individuals have attempted to sell property they did not own in Adams County.

Fortunately, these attempts were caught before any documents were signed and recorded. 

Adams County has made available a FREE PROPERTY FRAUD ALERT for you to sign up for.  Property Fraud Alert website – www.propertyfraudalert.com

The Property Fraud Alert system does NOT prevent fraud, but it will notify the person as soon as a document is recorded with their name.  This tool is essential to notify Adams County Register of Deeds as well as local authorities.
